Relationships and their effects on youth – Arnav Saha

arnav

Arnav Saha describes himself as just another one of us learning to live life. A great entrepreneur by nature this Bengali isn’t sweet but is a great critic of life. Read ahead to find out what this to be engineer thinks about relationships and stuff.

The writer has beautifully portrayed the problems of relationships and how to cope up with such issues. The thing here to understand is that guys and girls…. There is always a time for each and every thing in life. You shouldn’t just take things fast. Education is the foremost priority at this stage in your life. All the other stuff will follow later on.

P.S.: I just can’t understand why engineers are so obsessed with relationships?? – Akk

Someone once said –

There is a tide in the affairs of men.

Which, taken at the flood,

Leads on to fortune;

Omitted, all the voyage of their life

Is bound in shallows and in miseries.

On such a full sea are we now afloat.

I lost my way this year. I’m just like other kids trying to find my way. I guess that part is timeless.

But lately it’s been better you know…temptation can be silenced by a ray of hope, but when the face of that hope is a girl’s face, hope comes with trust issues too. Let us not think about the past and let us accept our own responsibilities for the future. We all think there’s some secret to this world. But to be honest with you, there isn’t any secret. You just gotta start shooting one day and deal with the pain, somewhere along the way…just gets easier.

Time takes it all. Whether you want it or not… It bears it all away. And in the end, there is only darkness. Sometimes we find others in that darkness. But sometimes, we lose them there again. And that’s when this disease called ‘loneliness’ hits us so hard … like a punch in the middle of your face! Well…maybe that’s the price we pay to figure out what we really want right …?

I guess we are all afraid of something or the other. Some try to run away from it. Some try to ignore it. Some try to hide. Some make fun of other’s, just to make it through the day. While others perish away. What’s better? To run, hide or maybe make a deal with the devil? I get it you’re confused (default human nature) and afraid. There’s no shame in being afraid. Hell, we’re all afraid. What you gotta do is to figure out what you’re really afraid of, because when you can put a face on it, you can beat it. Better yet, you can use it. All of this is because when you stop fighting… you stop living… find your fight… and fight like hell until your battle is won.

Remember health and bio classes (Standard X)? Especially when the teacher used to teach about the human body and its private parts (Well I didn’t know how else to frame this) and how your face flushed red with that kinky retro smile. Well we’re 18 now and I guess it’s high time. If you’re young and you’re reading this, you guys know what you’re up against.  And even fifty years from now, I’m guessing it’s a still a really big deal. It’s awkward and threatening and thrilling. But, in a way, it’s like sex is the easy part. Giving your heart to somebody. That’s the scary part. Never let your happiness be dictated. Stop measuring yourself to what people think.

Recall how we used to learn ‘abcd’. It’s important actually. “T forrrrrrrrrr?????……TRUUUUUTTTHHH”. Well, it was actually a truck but for the sake of the argument lets assume its truth. Well I’m not gonna bore you saying its bitter and whatever you read on Facebook or Instagram. Let’s try this. You know that feeling you get on a Sunday? When you just have the whole day to yourself, and it’s been great, but then you remember you have to go to school the next day, and it ruins the whole rest of the night. I have to go face the world tomorrow, and I just have that feeling. It’s like Sunday night. Sad to say, I already feel tired for tomorrow.

Pain. Ha ha. Who likes it, right? The very thought of it is no fun. But sometimes pain becomes such a huge part of your life. That you expect it to ALWAYS be there. One day, you wake up and you realize something is wrong an unfamiliar feeling and you realize you’re happy. Well pain has its own list of demands, and just like love it demands to be felt. Don’t be afraid. Live your life. Deal with the pain. You gotta kick start your life at some point, and you believe that someday is going to arrive soon. While suddenly, you realize that someday is today and you’re already living it. It sound’s weird. I know. But yeah, that’s life !

But you know the part which actually sucks ? That thing ‘Judging the book by its cover ‘, its true. Sometimes you gotta read the whole thing and like you try to take make total sense of it, even then you might not know the whole story. This article was supposed to be on relationship’s and discussing about big words like ‘LOVE’, in which I consider myself to be a lay person. I’m no Shakespeare but I do know something about them. Why are they so damn tough ? You know why being in a relationship is so damn tough or why guys or maybe a few girls try so hard ? Because the next hardest thing would be to live alone in this world full of misfits like you and me. It’s like your body’s 18 but your mind is ageless.

It’s always gonna be there. isn’t it ? You and me. Well this is just tragedy. Its been a tough year for hearts. What if you could return from that one starting place and perhaps go all slowly to find that missing thing. But I guess at a certain point of time the fire burns out. How much for a broken heart with a side of regret ? It’s time they put that up on the menu.

I’m a music person. I’ve got this weirdly wicked theory about people. The ‘lyric’ and the ‘music’ people. These lyric people tend to be analytical. You know, all about the meaning of the song. They’re the one’s you see with the CD insert out like five minutes after buying it, pouring over the lyric, interpreting the hell outta everything. Then there’s the music people, who care less about the lyric unless it’s good beat and you can maybe dance to it. I don’t know honestly, sometimes it feels so much easier being the music people. But let me just say this : Things find you when you need them to find you. I believe I still am a lyric guy.

We all believe in something. Some believe music can change the world. I believe in it.

It just makes life so much easier, believing in something. Well, If you’re confused have a look:

“At this moment, there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world.

Some are running scared.

Some are coming home,

some tell lies to make it through the day.

Others are just facing the truth.

Some are evil men at war with good,

and some are good struggling with evil.

6 billion people .6 billion souls.

And sometimes

all you need is one.”

Because sometimes you just need a little tiny push to face the music in this world 🙂 !
